1. Computers Rule the World

    

   Learn about and discuss the importance of software in modern society. The Scratch software is introduced.

2. Say "Hello" to Scratch

    

   The Scratch interface is introduced. Build and save scripts.

3. Playing with Pictures

    

   Graphics in Scratch are introduced. Import and edit sprites and modify backgrounds. Write a Costume Change program.

4. Tell me what to do

    

   Algorithms are introduced. Understand what an algorithm is and how it fits into everyday life. Write algorithms to solve basic problems.

5. Playing with Music

    

   Learn about Event Handlers by programming scripts that are triggered by input from the computer keyboard. Create a sequence of commands to play a musical scale.
